360 Field Nutrient Program | CSI Approach
Our 360 Field Nutrient Program uses a CSI-style approach to investigate, monitor, and optimize crop nutrition throughout the growing season.
We start with a soil test in the fall after harvest or in the spring using our truck-mounted soil sampler. Samples are collected at two depths—0”–6” and 6”–12”—to fully assess nutrient availability across the root zone. These results are evaluated to establish a baseline, and precise fertilizer recommendations are provided to set the foundation for the season.
When the crop emerges, we return to the field to conduct targeted in-season sampling. Using a hand probe, we collect a soil sample alongside a tissue sample to evaluate how the fertility program is performing in real time. The soil test confirms nutrient availability, while the tissue analysis reveals what the plant is actually taking up—and what may be limiting growth. We compile this information into a clear, actionable report with recommendations to balance and fine-tune crop nutrition.
At flag leaf or flowering, we complete a second tissue sample to continue the investigation. This final check allows us to monitor nutrient movement later in the season and identify opportunities to top up any nutrients that may be holding yield back.
The result is a complete, season-long nutrient intelligence system—turning data into real-time decisions and measurable results.
Frequently Asked Questions
Soil + tissue sampling • Actionable reports • Clear recommendations • Built for Western Canadian farms
-
Fall after harvest is ideal, but spring sampling works great too.
-
Designed for broadacre cropping—especially where you want tighter fertility control and better ROI.
Canola, Wheat, Barley, Oats, Peas
-
Yes—every sampling includes an actionable report with clear next steps and recommendations
-
Minimal. We handle sampling and provide a clear plan—your job is simply making the decision.
-
$450 per field (*might be an additional charge for milage)
If you wanted CSI Ag to scout the field for the year (out once every ten days) and do the 360 Program would be $5/acre (If agronomist thinks the field needs additional tissue samples done, they would be at no extra cost on this program)
