The Technology

Vantage Ag - Potassium, is an enhanced plant nutrient formulation derived from our proprietary reacted liquid Quantum Ag technology. Our liquid Potassium is a sub nano ­particle formulation designed to cover and penetrate plant tissue. Our reacted liquid technology allows for nutrients to be highly bio-available and quickly absorbed and metabolized by the plant. The low amount of actual Potassium allows for excellent crop safety and a more sustainable option.

Potassium Nutrition

Potassium is associated with the movement of water, nutrients and carbohydrates in plant tissue. It's involved with enzyme activation within the plant, which affects protein, starch and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production. Because potassium improves the overall health of growing plants and helps them fight against disease, it is known as the "quality" nutrient. Potassium affects quality factors such as size, shape, color and vigor of the seed or grain. Soils with higher organic matter are frequently deficient in Potassium. Forage, silage, potato and sugar beet crops have a high K requirement; they take up and remove relatively large amounts of K from soils. Good potassium nutrition will improve cold weather and dry growing conditions tolerance. Potassium uptake in canola is greater early in the growing season and tapers off after the end of flowering. Potassium is also needed for nitrogen uptake and protein synthesis, which makes potassium nutrition an important nutrient early in the growing season.

Application

This product is designed to be used foliarly when Potassium maybe deficient. This product can be mixed with herbicides and fungicides. Consult label for specific application instructions and always conduct a jar test. Rates on crops on the prairies are 100mL to 350mL per acre. For in furrow, increase rates by 25%. The results pertain to physical compatibility and cannot predict changes in crop protection, product efficacy or crop tolerance. Test all crop protection products applied at high end of recommended rates.
